COVID-19 Update for the Week of 01/12/2025
Dear Families and Friends,
At Manatawny Manor, we are committed to providing transparent and up-to-date information regarding the COVID-19 status within our community. We will be updating this tab weekly to keep you informed about the ongoing situation in both our Skilled Nursing and Personal Care areas.
Current Status (as of 12/24/24)
- Skilled Nursing:
- 3 COVID-19 positive residents
- 0 COVID-19 positive direct care staff members
- Personal Care:
- 0 COVID-19 positive residents
- 0 COVID-19 positive staff members
Although anyone can get ill, respiratory viruses like COVID-19 can be particularly serious for the elderly, very young children, and individuals with chronic illnesses or weakened immune systems. These viruses can spread easily through respiratory discharges, often when an infected person coughs or sneezes.
We are dedicated to doing everything possible to protect our residents and have taken the following measures:
•Isolating sick residents to reduce contact with others
• Limiting or discouraging group activities and communal dining
• Offering vaccinations for flu, COVID-19, and RSV to residents and staff who have not yet received them
•Implementing specific infection control precautions
While we are not restricting visitors at this time, we kindly request your cooperation in preventing further spread of illness among residents:
• Avoid visiting the facility if you are unwell; wait until you’ve been fever-free for at least 24 hours without medication and your symptoms are improving.
• Wear a mask when visiting a resident with respiratory symptoms.
• Wash your hands or use alcohol-based hand sanitizer upon arrival and departure.
• Limit visits to your loved one’s room and use the call bell if you need assistance.
•Ensure your vaccinations are up to date.
